The sea and fun on the Romagna coast

The beach with its fine sand and the sun shining from dawn until dusk is surely one of the main attractions that the town offers its guests. The coastal section, between the River Conca and the Rio Alberella, winds for around 3 km. In this albeit short distance, a gym for many healthy morning walks, a neat host of multi-coloured umbrellas and sunbeds and cutting-edge services (rescue, first aid and emergency medical service, Pubbliphono public address system, hygiene services and beach protection, etc.) guarantee relaxing and completely safe bathing. Thanks to the organization on land and the high quality of the bathing water, on several occasions the beach and port of Misano Adriatico have been awarded the blue flag by the International Committee and the European Commission’s Environment Directorate. This recognition rewards years of commitment and the consistency of its environmental policies. Just recently work has been done to upgrade and improve waste water collection and purification facilities and this has stopped sewage being deposited in the sea not only from the entire Misano municipal area but also from municipalities upstream; sewage that used to go into the River Conca can now go, through special pipes, to the appropriately upgraded purifying plants of the two coastal towns of Misano and Cattolica. For those who love outings on the high seas and along the coast there are interesting motor boat trips that set out daily from Portoverde, Misano’s tourist port. The latter, which is definitely the best equipped port for tourists on the Adriatic, has all types of services and facilities making it a very prestigious residential complex. Finally, the climate from April to October is ideal for all ages, with temperatures in July and August hovering around 30°.
